What I Offer
Traditional Talking Therapy
I work from a person‑centred approach, which means therapy is led by you, at your pace. My role is to offer a warm, genuine, safe space where you can explore what’s going on with honesty and support. I don’t direct or diagnose; instead, I offer a space for you reconnect with your own clarity, resilience, and sense of direction. Walk‑and‑Talk Therapy
I offer 1:1 walk‑and‑talk sessions outdoors. Being in nature can help you feel more grounded, less pressured, and more able to open up. We walk at a gentle pace on an agreed route, letting movement, fresh air, and the natural environment support the therapeutic process. Many people find that talking side‑by‑side feels easier and more spacious than sitting face‑to‑face.
Online Therapy
If you prefer to work from the comfort of your own space, I also offer online sessions. These follow the same person‑centred principles and provide flexibility if travel, time, accessibility, or comfort make online work a better fit for you.Ecotherapy
Ecotherapy takes our work outdoors, using nature as a supportive, regulating space.
Bushcraft Supported Therapy
For some people, learning simple bushcraft skills: fire‑lighting, shelter‑building, or working with natural materials can create a sense of grounding and confidence. These can help you settle into your body, regulate your nervous system, and open up space for deeper reflection, using them as a way to explore themes like resilience, trust, self‑belief, and connection.
Fire‑Side Sessions
If you prefer something quieter, we can simply sit together around a small fire. The warmth, rhythm, and stillness of a fire often create a naturally reflective atmosphere. Many people find it easier to talk, pause, or feel into their emotions in this kind of setting.Climbing Therapy
I also offer climbing‑based therapeutic sessions through ClimbWell CIC, a community‑interest company I co‑founded to make wellbeing support more accessible through bouldering.
Climbing therapy blends the principles of Person‑Centred counselling with the embodied experience of climbing. Working on the wall can help you explore themes like trust, confidence, fear, resilience, and self‑belief in a very real, physical way. It’s experiential, empowering, and often surprisingly grounding.
Sessions are always shaped around your pace and comfort level, whether that’s staying close to the ground, learning basic movement skills, or gently pushing into new challenges with support. The focus isn’t performance; it’s using climbing as a safe, structured space to explore what’s happening for you internally.
